The Icecast Mailing Lists (and their archives) are one of the first places to check for questions that may have been answered in the past.
We have two mailing lists devoted to Icecast:
[icecast]mailing list is appropriate for general icecast usage questions.
[icecast-dev]mailing list is reserved for any developer related questions.
To sign up for each this mailing list, simply send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
or email@example.com and include the text
subscribe in the message.
Then simply follow the directions from there.
More details as well as access to the web-accessible archives of the mailing lists can be found here (for the icecast list) and here (for the icecast-dev list).
IRC is potentially the fastest way to get an answer, if you’re lucky. Our official channel is #icecast on irc.libera.chat (Webchat).
The official ways to report bugs are to send a message to the
icecast-dev mailing list,
submit a bug report to https://gitlab.xiph.org/xiph or alternately go to the #icecast IRC channel.
Please submit this information in one of these ways.
Email the webmaster if you notice a broken link, outdated or inaccurate information, or another flaw on icecast.org. For questions, use the mailing list above.
